Cookie policy
On this page
Dvelopin LLC, a Texas limited liability company, publishes this Cookie Policy to explain what cookies the Dvelopin web properties set, why they are set, and what choices you have.
1. What cookies are
A cookie is a small text file that a website or service places on your device when you visit it. The file stores a short piece of information (such as a session identifier or a preference) and is sent back to that site or service each time you make a request. Cookies are not programs and cannot run code on your device.
2. How Dvelopin uses cookies
Dvelopin does not use advertising cookies or cookies that build a cross-site profile of you. The only cookies used in the Client Portal are those needed to keep you signed in, protect your forms, and (on the billing page) help Stripe prevent payment fraud. The public website uses Google Analytics cookies to count visits, and one cookie of its own to protect the contact form.
3. Cookies on the Client Portal
The Client Portal is at cloud.dvelopin.com. The portal sets the following cookie of its own:
| Name | Set by | Purpose | How long | Where | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| PHPSESSID | Client Portal | Keeps you signed in and protects forms against forged requests | Until you close your browser | Every page | Strictly necessary |
The session cookie is marked Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax. Your session also ends on our side after 15 minutes without activity.
On the billing settings page (accessible only when you are signed in), Stripe sets two fraud-prevention cookies:
| Name | Set by | Purpose | How long | Where | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| __stripe_mid | Stripe | Lets Stripe recognize this browser across payments | 1 year | Billing settings page; sent with every request to the portal until it expires | Fraud prevention |
| __stripe_sid | Stripe | Identifies the current visit to Stripe for fraud checks | 30 minutes | Billing settings page; sent with every request to the portal until it expires | Fraud prevention |
We treat these two cookies as strictly necessary: they protect the payment from fraud and load only on the billing page.
The Client Portal maintains a live cookie page at cloud.dvelopin.com/cookies that is generated directly from the application code. That page is the up-to-date list of cookies in use. If it differs from this policy, the live page wins.
4. Outside services on the billing page
The billing settings page loads the following external services. Dvelopin does not control the cookies or data practices of these third parties; the links below go to their own policies.
| Provider | Purpose | Where | Policy link |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stripe | Card, wallet and US bank account (ACH) entry, including Stripe Financial Connections when you link a bank; 3D Secure check with the card issuer; sends the card number straight to Stripe so Dvelopin never sees it | Billing settings page | https://stripe.com/legal/cookies-policy |
| Google Pay (button) | Shown when your browser offers Google Pay as a payment method | Billing settings page | https://policies.google.com/privacy |
Stripe's embedded frames may also load additional services that Stripe chooses to use, such as Google Pay, Apple Pay, or hCaptcha. Dvelopin does not select or control those services.
5. Cookies on the website
The company website is at dvelopin.com.
The website sets the following cookies:
| Name | Set by | Purpose | How long | Where | Category |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Tells one visitor from another, so visits can be counted | 2 years (Google's default) | Every page | Analytics |
| _ga_ followed by a property code | Google Analytics | Keeps track of your current visit | 2 years (Google's default) | Every page | Analytics |
| dvwww | Website | Protects the contact form against forged submissions | Until you close your browser | Contact page only | Strictly necessary |
The dvwww cookie is marked Secure, HttpOnly and SameSite=Lax.
We do not ask for consent before setting the Google Analytics cookies, for any visitor. You can block them or opt out as section 6 explains.
Outside services on the website:
| Provider | Purpose | Where | Policy link |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google Analytics | Counts visits and shows how the website is used; Google states that it does not log or store IP addresses for visitors in the EU, Switzerland, or the UK | Every page | https://policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites |
6. Your choices
You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers let you manage cookies under "Privacy" or "Site settings." If you block the PHPSESSID cookie, you will not be able to sign in to the Client Portal. If you block Stripe's cookies, card payments on the billing page may not complete. If you block the dvwww cookie, the website's contact form will ask you to send your message again. You can block the Google Analytics cookies without losing anything on the website, or opt out with Google's browser add-on at https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout.
Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control. Dvelopin does not sell or share personal data for cross-context advertising, so there is nothing to opt out of in that regard. For the same reason, a Global Privacy Control signal changes nothing here.
7. Changes
Dvelopin may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The live cookie page at cloud.dvelopin.com/cookies always reflects the current set of cookies in the Client Portal. If we change this policy in a way that affects you, we will post the updated version here with a new "Last updated" date.
